Batch swap tokens. Clean your wallet with Kondo!

The problem Kondo solves

Kondo is a simple but useful mini app. It is live on both Farcaster and The Base App, where it has been ranked #2 in the "Utilities" category since launch 2 weeks ago as of this writing.

Kondo allows users to batch swap tokens for USDC, ETH, or any ERC-20 they'd like. It is the fastest and easiest way to clean up your Base or Farcaster wallet.

Challenges I ran into

Kondo is enabled by the relatively new EIP-5792, so we have encountered a number of challenges as a result of working with this new technology.

The first hurdle was making a sufficiently smooth experience for users to swap up to 10 tokens at a time with minimal failures. We also had to determine when to instruct them to try again vs. when to offer them to send the worthless token to onchaintrash.eth because it won't be able to swap regardless of the number of attempts (insufficient liquidity, etc.).

So far, we have overcome these obstacles through methodically testing, iterating for improvement, and repeating that process until we achieve a satisfactory performance, which we now feel we have for up to 10 tokens per batch.

Our next challenge is enabling it work seamlessly for up to 20 tokens per batch. This will require collaborating with Farcaster, Privy, and Blockaid to problem solves, as the bottleneck is not completely within our control, but we are working on it!

Everything we do is for the purpose of helping users to clean their wallet as quickly and easily as possible, so they can swap tokens they don't care about for ones that they believe in. We believe this use case will only become more popular with time and it has been largely popular on both Base and Farcaster already.

Cheer Project

Cheering for a project means supporting a project you like with as little as 0.0025 ETH. Right now, you can Cheer using ETH on Arbitrum, Optimism and Base.
