The problem Klippy AI solves

Klippy AI Mini App transforms the way users create and share videos directly within the Base ecosystem. Traditionally, generating high-quality videos requires expensive tools, steep learning curves, and long rendering times. Klippy AI solves this by:

• On-Chain Creativity: Allowing anyone to generate text-to-video and image-to-video content instantly inside a Base Mini App.
• Efficiency Boost: Increasing video creation efficiency by 25×, empowering creators to produce more in less time.
• Seamless Sharing: Videos can be shared natively within the Base app, unlocking new ways for creators to showcase their work.
• Earning Potential: Every video can generate revenue through Base app views, creating a new onchain economy for creativity.
• Future-Ready: We are working on enabling each generated video to be minted as a token on Zora, making video-to-token creation a 1-click process.

In short, Klippy AI lowers the barrier to professional video creation, makes it accessible within Web3 social environments, and ties creative output directly into the onchain economy.

Challenges I ran into

One of the biggest technical hurdles was the iframe limitation inside Base Mini Apps. By default, file downloads and direct sharing don’t work smoothly within the iframe environment.

• The Challenge: Users could generate videos, but downloading or sharing them directly from the Mini App wasn’t possible.
• Our Solution: We implemented a creative workaround:
  • Users are provided with a direct download link.
  • The link can be copied and opened in their external browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) to download the video.
  • Once downloaded, users can re-upload or share the video on Base seamlessly.

This workaround ensured that users could still enjoy the full functionality of Klippy AI while we continue to explore smoother, native integration options for future versions.
