The problem Kisan Mitra solves

Lack of Proper Information on Agriculture and Finance:Farmers frequently grapple with a dearth of timely and accurate information crucial for successful agriculture and financial management.
Furthermore, limited financial literacy among farmers results in suboptimal financial planning and decision-making.
Initiatives aimed at enhancing financial literacy, coupled with the development of user-friendly mobile applications and online platforms delivering real-time information on weather, market trends, and best agricultural practices, can empower farmers with the knowledge needed for informed decision-making.
Pests and Diseases:The relentless threat of pests and diseases poses a formidable challenge to farmers, often leading to substantial losses in crops, livestock, and aquaculture.
Inadequate knowledge and resources for pest and disease management can result in the use of ineffective or harmful pesticides, and climate change exacerbates the spread of new threats.
Integrated pest management strategies focusing on sustainable practices, alongside educational programs for farmers on identifying, preventing, and managing outbreaks, are critical.
Additionally, research and development initiatives to create disease-resistant crop varieties and livestock breeds can significantly mitigate the impact of pests and diseases, fostering a more resilient agricultural sector.
Limited Access to Credit and Capital:Access to credit and capital remains a significant hurdle for many farmers, particularly smallholders who struggle to secure funds for essential inputs like seeds, fertilizers, and equipment.
To address these issues, inclusive financial policies and programs tailored to the unique needs of farmers are essential.

Challenges we ran into

1.Faced difficulty with langchin initially since we were new to it.
2.Collection of realtime and relevant data sets were a major challenge. We used data.gov.in , kaggle websites and agmark.net for the datasets.
3.Finding best data analytics methods and risk assessment methodology(i.e. credit worthiness of farmers).
4.Integration of voice assistance.
5.Multi language support.
