Making Keploy’s blog faster and accessible

The problem Keploy Blog Website solves

The Keploy blog website serves as a key platform for sharing technical knowledge, tutorials, and updates with the developer community. However, as the content grows, issues such as suboptimal performance, limited accessibility, inconsistent SEO practices, and unclear contribution workflows can reduce its effectiveness.

This project addresses these challenges by improving page load performance, ensuring accessibility compliance, implementing SEO best practices, and enhancing documentation for contributors. As a result, developers can consume content more efficiently, discover blogs more easily through search engines, and contribute to the platform with less friction. Overall, the project makes the blog more usable, inclusive, and scalable for long-term community growth.

Challenges I ran into

One of the initial challenges was understanding the existing project structure and content flow, especially how Markdown-based blogs are rendered through reusable frontend components. Another challenge was identifying performance and accessibility gaps without disrupting the existing layout and functionality.

I addressed these challenges by thoroughly exploring the repository, reviewing existing components, and using tools such as Lighthouse and browser developer tools to identify bottlenecks. Incremental changes, frequent testing, and mentor feedback helped ensure that improvements were implemented without breaking existing features.
