We all have faced this problem at some point that while studying on youtube we get distracted by luring videos and clickbait content. Our chrome extension when enabled, automatically filters out all non-educational videos from the recommendation list. So students never get distracted.
This google chrome extension
Removes all comment section from the youtube page,
Stops the user from starting a new youtube page
Remove all unnecessary videos from the recommendation list
We also created a dashboard where we can give incentives in terms of "level" and "badges" to people based upon their screen time and also a leaderboard to see how their friends are doing.
We used machine learning, naive byes algorithm to filter out non-education and education youtube videos. We faced little challenge gathering data.
