🔁 Seamless NFT Progression Without Interrupting Gameplay
One of the biggest challenges was designing a system where NFT progression (leveling up) could happen without breaking the flow of gameplay.

In most Web3 games, updating NFT metadata — like levels — requires signing a transaction or syncing with a wallet, which creates friction and pulls players out of the moment.

How we solved it:

• We separated onchain NFT progression from real-time gameplay through a check-in / check-out module. Here's how it works:
• Players level up in-game without needing to sign anything mid-session.
• Progress is temporarily stored offchain and queued for onchain updates.
• When the player checks out after gameplay, the system performs a batch onchain update to reflect the NFT's new level.

This let us preserve the fast, uninterrupted FPS gameplay players expect — while still keeping the benefits of onchain ownership and progress.

We primarily operate a Unity-based game, so we don’t maintain smart contracts beyond token-related ones. However, we do utilize contracts for gameplay session check-in/check-out, which will be updated and shared shortly.
