The problem JobGenie solves is the inefficiency and frustration often encountered in the job search process. Challenges I ran into
During the development of JobGenie, one of the main challenges I encountered was with the engineering aspect, particularly regarding the output from the Gemini AI API. While the API provided valuable insights, the output wasn't always perfect or aligned with our requirements. As a result, I had to implement several custom algorithms and data processing techniques to refine and enhance the output to meet our desired standards.
To tackle this challenge, I first carefully analyzed the output from the Gemini AI API and identified areas where improvements were needed. Then, I devised and implemented various algorithms and data processing pipelines to preprocess the API output, refine the recommendations, and ensure they were personalized and relevant to each user's profile.
This involved tasks such as data cleaning, filtering, and augmentation, as well as fine-tuning the parameters of the algorithms to optimize their performance. Through iterative testing and refinement, I was able to overcome the limitations of the API output and achieve the desired level of accuracy and relevance in the job recommendations provided by JobGenie. This experience highlighted the importance of adaptability and problem-solving skills in navigating challenges during the development process.
