The problem JadeFarm solves

In the midst of the pandemic, the interaction between juniors and seniors, or even batchmates, has been tougher than ever. JadeFarm helps to bridge this gap for you and lets you interact with your peers and seniors with just a few clicks. Interact with them, share some gossip, have some fun moments to talk about, and build a strong bond.
Oftentimes, after the end of a college year, we have books and materials that are no longer useful to us but are not easy to get rid of either. You can help others who are in need of those materials instead by connecting to the JadeFarm Marketplace. Buy and Sell with a very easy-to-understand interface.

Challenges we ran into

This was our first experience with web development. We tried to learn as much as we could within this short period of time. Although it is not easy to learn these things within this short period, we managed to create a presentable web application that solved a major issue that we faced ourselves, which is the lack of interaction between college peers.
The project is still incomplete. We are not able to post anything as of now. Adding or Removing friends is still not a working function.
We decided to add a usage tracker for every user, but it was not completed due to a shortage of time and lack of experience, due to which we decided to dump that idea. However, we plan to work on this project further after the Hackathon to improve this application.
