The problem Isha solves
We aim to build a medical knowledge-based system designed for both patients and doctors. Medical histories are often fragmented or lost over time, leading to incomplete information during diagnosis. Our software solves this problem by enabling doctors to make efficient and context-aware diagnoses, incorporating a patient’s full medical history, which significantly reduces the chance of information loss. Additionally, it provides a differential diagnostics tool, aiding doctors in analyzing each patient’s unique medical case more accurately.
Benefits for Patients and Doctors
For Doctors
- Comprehensive Diagnosis: Doctors can access a consolidated view of the patient's entire medical history, ensuring no critical information is overlooked.
- Differential Diagnostics: The tool assists in comparing possible conditions, allowing doctors to arrive at more accurate conclusions and tailored treatment plans.
For Patients
- Simplified Medical Reports: Medical jargon can be overwhelming for patients. Our software simplifies report information, making it easier to understand and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Interactive Medical History: Patients can view and interact with their medical history in a graphical format, enabling a clearer understanding of health trends and supporting better-informed healthcare decisions.
This system aims to create a seamless and secure bridge between patients and healthcare providers, facilitating improved healthcare outcomes through contextual insights and personalized diagnosis.
Challenges we ran into
Throughout our development journey, we faced a few challenges that we tackled. Some of them include:
- Creating each patient's unique knowledge-base that offers quick data retrieval and storage, in case of future reports addition. We came across multiple approaches to solve this issue, and we created vector embeddings for every patient. This solved the problem of providing accurate and context-aware responses efficiently.
- Providing doctors a medically-accurate differetial-diagnostics tool that understands the patient's medical history and provides insights into future course of action. We solved this issue by maintaining context to reduce information loss.
