Fault light detection and early feedback:

The LDR sensor which is a light sensitive device will be placed in the street lamps in order to indicate the presence or absence of light and it sends the information regarding the street lights to microcontroller through internet

The main cause for street light fault is

Lack of Power supply
The bulb get fused
Gets damaged in accident or any disaster

A power supply is needed in order to glow a street light and it becomes off when there is no power supply. Here the flow of current is measured by sensor. Even after the power supply if the street light is in off then there is a fault in the street light

Safety Switch :

This is one of the most important feature of the streetlight design . This switch is mainly focused on women and elderly people. As in the current affairs , the most dealing cases are women harassment and to ensure women safety .

In the streetlight construction , an safety switched is placed in reachable heights of the lamp .

In case of any women in the village is feeling insecure during nights or if the women is not feeling comfortable in and around her surrounding , the woman can press the safety switch , where an immediate notification is passed to the nearby police station and the concerned members will arrive at the spot immediately .

accident alert system :

In this system we have used an IoT concept. The module which is placed in the street lamp is 10 km wide in range. we have three types of accident.

Crashing of cars
Flipping of cars
Fire accident
If the accident occurs either by crashing of car or fire accident in which we have already used the existing system (air bag concept and fire detector)and enhanced it which is connected to the module to fetch the data . For flipping of car we have inserted gyroscope sensor to find the angle of deviation in which it exceed 45 to 60, in such case the car will be flipped.

Challenges I ran into

the challenge is connecting the hardware and fetching their datas in large amount.
we have overcome with the help of centralised dashboard.
