The problem InVote solves

InVote solves the challenges of traditional voting systems by offering a digital platform for constituents to cast their votes conveniently from any location within their constituency. It eliminates the need for physical visits to polling stations, long queues, and time constraints, thereby increasing accessibility and participation. Additionally, InVote ensures the security and integrity of the voting process through robust encryption and identity verification measures, fostering trust in the electoral system while promoting inclusivity and engagement in democracy.

Challenges we ran into

One of the challenges we encountered during the development of InVote was integrating the Google Cloud Vision API for photo verification and validation within our PHP and MySQL environment. Despite our efforts, we faced difficulties in successfully implementing this integration, which temporarily hindered progress in enhancing the security and accuracy of the platform's authentication process. Unfortunately, we cou;dn't integrate it but we created a similar interface for capturing the user's photograph.
