IntelliWeed automates weed detection and removal, reducing labor, increasing precision, and minimizing herbicide use. It boosts farm productivity, promotes sustainable agriculture, and ensures efficient, scalable weed control for farmers.
We encountered network latency issues while processing data in real-time. Since the rover operates offline, we switched to local model training and processing to ensure faster, uninterrupted performance without network dependency. We also faced challenges with power consumption, as the rover's components drained the battery quickly. To overcome this, we optimized the system's power usage, integrated energy-efficient hardware and begin using rechargable batteries to maximize battery life and ensure longer operational hours.
