The problem InstaAid solves

Issues :

• People shy to buy contraception/pads from medicine store
• Sometimes the medicine stores are far from the location
• Maximum medicine store not operate 24x7
• In case of online delivery, discrete delivery is not available max time and also it can’t be ensured who is going to receive the parcel.
• When people go to different places, they can’t even know nearby medicine stores.

Unavailability of contraception : Unavailability of proper contraception at places resulting in unwanted pregnancies or different health issues.

Unavailability of Sanitary pads : Unavailability of Sanitary pads for women at places and taboo restricting their use resulting in infections and other genital issues.

Our Solution –

InstaAid is an IoT based solution which avail essential healthcare items and remove social awkwardness.

• The vending machine can be distributed in many locations.
• Users can search their nearest vending machines on map and purchase healthcare items 24x7.
• Users can check the availability of items from the vending machine, beforehand visit the machine location.
• The system works digitally and relies on digital payment [Card, Netbanking, UPI, PayLater..], so there is no headache of cash collection
• The users can be restricted to purchase limited items per day. So that illegal business moves can be prohibited

Challenges we ran into

We face the problem of adding markers in the map and also communication between the machine and our servers. Later we solved the communication issue with a polling method.
