The problem InfoAssist solves
In today's digital era, "Information is gold". The world is overwhelmed with new information daily, and people are too busy to absorb it all. Even in one's professional field, if not continuously updated, one risks being left behind.
Upon waking from an 8-hour sleep, most people need an assistant to:
+ Read all relevant news, trends, research topics, and innovations while they sleep.
+ Summarize all new information.
+ The summary should not over 7 minutes.
+ Read the summary to them when they have free time.
+ Could provide additional content upon request and answer questions.
+ Ultimately, the assistant's cost should be cheap, not more than $2/month!
Our solutions:
- While you sleep, at 5 AM daily, InfoAssit uses AI and Large Language Models to gather info, read PDFs, translate to languages, summarize them.
- Also produce a 7-minute audio summary.
- When you wake up, while brush teeth, prepare breakfast, just press Play and listen to general summaries of new research topics.
- Read more about intriguing topics in the app (BOS component).
- Chat with AI for instant answers.
- Once Approved via Near Wallet, InfoAssit automatically deducts 1-2 Near/month. Users don't need to spend time on monthly payments. (The current demo is FREE).
Challenges I ran into
Hackathon period is too short, and I am new with JSX, BOS.
Due to time constraints, the demo currently only displays the "Blockchain" category from arxiv.org, an electronic database that stores preprint (PDF) research topics. Based on this, in the future we can expand to any category, source, or language.
