The Indian Legal Information Portal makes accessing legal knowledge simple, safe, and convenient.
Easy Legal Search – People can quickly search for traffic rules, property rights, criminal laws, and constitutional articles without going through lengthy documents or confusing legal language.
Awareness of Rights – Citizens can better understand their civil rights and freedoms, making them more informed and empowered.
Traffic & Safety Guidance – Drivers and commuters can easily learn about traffic laws, penalties, and safety regulations, helping reduce accidents and fines.
Property & Real Estate Clarity – Buyers, sellers, and property owners get clarity on land and property laws, avoiding fraud or legal disputes.
Criminal Law Reference – Individuals can check crime-related laws, punishments, and procedures, ensuring they know what legal protections exist.
Accessible Legal Education – Instead of depending on lawyers or scattered resources, anyone can learn the basics of Indian law in one place.
In short: This portal makes complex legal information easy to understand, safe to access, and quick to find, empowering people to handle legal queries confidently.
Challenges I ran into
Implementing a search bar that could handle both broad queries (e.g., "property laws") and specific keywords (e.g., "Section 80 property transfer act") proved to be tricky.
So, I used indexing and keyword mapping to ensure the search could return relevant legal articles instead of random results.
Smart Contract Address(es)
Currently, this project does not deploy or use any on-chain smart contracts. The system runs off-chain but can be extended with blockchain integration in the future.
Other Onchain Proof
At this stage, the project does not yet have onchain activity. Future versions will integrate blockchain for document verification and immutable legal records
