Creators are scared to onboard to Web 3 because they don´t fully understand the implications of IP being onchain. They are usually blocked from onboarding while thinking their royalties will be lost or sold, not understanding what kind of a product an NFT can be, and how monetization works on decentralized systems. The complex rights graph of commercial media requires groups of shareholders and stakeholders to understand how their contributions can be structured in smart contract format. Ilum, as a multidisciplinary, collaborative, creative, memetic/musical project, will focus on multiplayer creativity on BASE, helping contributors understand how their contributions, rights and monetization can be represented onchain.

Ilum will focus on working with creatives outside the Web 3 music niche and in under-represented communities in the Pacific Coast of Colombia, especially in Cali and Buenaventura.
