The problem Illuminate solves

Illuminate is an exclusive platform for IGDTUW students to resolve their queries by interacting with their seniors and peers.
• As it is available to IGDTUW students only, the website provides an authentic check on the person solving the doubts,
making it easier for juniors to find correct solutions without jumping to multiple sites.
• The site also ensures that juniors don't have to privately message their seniors at odd hours to ask doubts and instead
provides an alternative way where seniors have the time flexibility to respond.
• It provides various mediums through which doubts can be asked and resolved which include audio, video, image and text
formats.
• The site also includes a chatbot feature which can help the user navigate through the site and provides the answer to the
FAQs.

Challenges we ran into

While designing the interface for the website, we faced various challenges that include:
• Dark and Light Mode: According to the interviews conducted we found out that the general consensus among the users is
that the website should be available both in dark and light mode. We incorporated this suggestion into our project to make it
more visually appealing in the future.
• Integrating the perspectives of both seniors and juniors: As the purpose of the website has to be fulfilled by both parties, we
had to ensure that the user interface works seamlessly in both ways.
• Device compatibility: While creating the prototype for the website, we faced difficulty in ensuring that the website would be
compatible with all devices.
