The problem IGDTUW TechGeeks solves

At present, there exist no platform specifically for our college (IGDTUW) to read or publish technical blogs/ articles/ research papers etc. In order to solve this problem, our team has took upon this challenge to help in creating a web portal by presenting a UX/UI case study. The primary users of our web portal will be the students and faculty of IGDTUW. This portal will help them to not only read and access the technical writings such as blogs, articles and research papers of their peers at the university but also publish their own works.
Sharing and promoting one’s technical writings form an important part of research in terms of fostering the exchange of scientific information in their field.
The portal can help a user to draw a profound study of a topic and engage with the community to understand what can be achieved in and around a topic.

Challenges we ran into

(1) Lack of technical knowledge :- being a 2026 graduate, we had insufficient knowledge of UX designs and webpages. We searched for different case studies and general information related to UX designs.
(2) Difficulty in connecting with the members of the team since we were not working in a specific location but staying at our homes. We were only able to discuss the problems and hurdles through online meet.
(3) Time constraint :- we had a small duration of 48 hours to make a project on the problem statement provided which was one of the biggest challenge for us. We focused on reprioritizing our work, breaking down our project in smaller sections and dividing it between the team members. This helped us in completing the task more efficiently in the given time constraint.
(4) Presenting the content we collected in a concise manner in the slides was quite a difficult and time taking task.
