The problem Hostel Management System solves
The admin can use it for the following purpose :
- Adding Students with their details to the hostel, deleting them when someone leaves, updating their information( like if
somebody changes their room or if they change their address etc
- Viewing and Managing the waiting list of students...also the admin can filter students based on their annual family
income
- Maintaining the food facilities of the hostel canteen which students can go time anytime, changing the price of the items
present or adding a new item or deleting a present one
- Managing the Hostel Rooms: Admin can view and update the status of the rooms of both the hostels(boys and girls)
separately. Admin can also fetch the data of the student(s) living in a particular room number. Admin can also add a new
room, delete an existing one, or update it from AC to Non AC or Single Occupancy to Double Occupancy and vice-versa
- Also one needs to Enter their correct username or password for making it into the admin page. This ensures the security of
the data.

We ran into several errors and time was also a constraint.
