The problem HOS_FINDER solves
This application is basically developed for the convenience of citizens. So, the proposed system is that there will be integration of various applications that will provide number of features at one place. It supports digitalization as government has been finding better ways to connect with citizens. In hospital, the user will get the nearest hospital and distance of that one from user’s location. In addition to that user can also search for the nearby blood donors in need of any blood requirements. By clicking on the search button, user get the nearby hospitals with their corresponding distances from the user’s current location. To show the nearby hospitals, we have used markers. By choosing the hospitals the list of doctors available in that specific hospital will be displayed with their field of specializations along with the facilities available. It consists of two main modules.
Challenges I ran into
This application will be implemented in two steps. The first step was an informative survey and it will be conducted to gather the latest information about hospitals and doctors along with the facilities in and around Pondicherry by directly visiting the hospitals. The second step was to implement an application for android Smartphones, so that it will be available to all android users. Later it will be implemented for another mobile operating system. The first step was to collect authentic information about doctors and hospitals that would be used in the application database. For this purpose, the data has been was collected in major hospitals especially multi-specialty hospitals in Pondicherry with the aim of acquiring valid information such as a hospital name, a list of specialized doctors, hospital facilities. This includes not only collecting doctor’s field of specialization of every division such as General Physician, Cardiologists, Dermatologists, Gynecologists, Child Specialists (Pediatrics), ENT Specialist, Neurologist, Ophthalmologists, Diabetologists and Dentists. Hospital’s details also collected along with their latitude and longitude.
