The problem HorFund solves
By using smart contract concept, we ensure the directness of funds transfer from the donater site to the receiver site. The system minimize the manpower involve in the middle of the transaction, resulting in minimized intermediate fee. The characteristics of smart contract also enable the fund raised to be automatically disbursed to the receiver.
Challenges we ran into
The challenges we ran into is that we are totally new to blockchain and we try to learn the concept of smart contract and blockchain. We faced challenges on connecting between MetaMask and the webpage, but luckily we figured out how to solve it by adding a line of code to enable webpage to connect with MetaMask. Then, we faced the bug that we are unable to transfer the token and cannot display the token amount of the target account on the page, we finally figured out on how to use the transfer function and able to call out the token from other account. The last challenge is that we are not able to verify the creditibality of the fund raising event request. The fraud-proof mechanism is still not develop in this system.
