The problem Honey Store solves
Honey Store solves the problems of data loss, censorship, and complexity in decentralized storage and NFT creation. Centralized storage is vulnerable and privacy is a concern for many users, while most decentralized solutions are too technical or inconvenient. Honey Store offers a secure, all-in-one platform where anyone can store files, documents, videos, and NFTs with end-to-end encryption and global distribution on the Swarm network—eliminating single points of failure.
You can use Honey Store to:
Easily upload and store any file type, with predictable payments using stablecoins (USDC/USDT) on Base and Optimism.
Lock your files for up to 10 years, with simple renewals.
Instantly create and deploy NFT collections (ERC-721A) with no coding required—smart contracts and metadata are handled for you.
Set your creator royalties once and receive automatic payments on every secondary sale.
Enjoy a user-friendly interface designed for everyone, with no technical jargon.
Honey Store makes decentralized storage and NFT creation as simple as mainstream cloud services, while providing unmatched security, privacy, and permanence.
Challenges I ran into
One of the biggest hurdles I faced was making decentralized storage simple and user-friendly for everyone. Most decentralized storage platforms (like IPFS or Arweave) have great technology but are often too technical, with complex command-line tools, unclear pricing, and a steep learning curve. Many solutions felt like getting “the engine and maybe the wheels,” but users still had to build the rest themselves, which is not what most people want—they just want a total package that works out of the box.
Another challenge was abstracting away all the technical details of Swarm (like stamps, batches, and node management) so users could just upload files and pay easily, without needing to understand how the underlying system works. Predictable payments and long-term storage guarantees were also tough to implement, since decentralized networks often have fluctuating costs and technical requirements.
To overcome these challenges, I focused on:
Building an intuitive, no-code interface that hides all technical jargon.
Bundling everything into a single dApp, so users can upload, pay, and manage storage or NFTs in one place.
Integrating stablecoin payments across multiple blockchains, making costs clear and predictable.
Automating smart contract deployment and royalty management for NFT creators.
By prioritizing user experience and abstracting the technical complexity, I was able to deliver a platform that feels as easy as Dropbox or Google Drive, but with the security and permanence of true decentralized storage.
Cheer Project
Cheering for a project means supporting a project you like with as little as 0.0025 ETH. Right now, you can Cheer using ETH on Arbitrum, Optimism and Base.
