herocast

herocast is Farcaster’s leading open-source client. Our goal is to decentralize power on the internet, faster.

The problem herocast solves

Problems
users are:
-struggling to manage multiple Farcaster accounts alone or in a team
-lose track of Farcaster social and onchain activity
-have little trust in closed-source Farcaster clients
-wasting time repeating the same workflows

Our solution
We're building an open-source Farcaster client for professionals and teams.
A community of collaborators continues to ship features so users can:
-switch between accounts and channels as quickly as possible
-schedule content ahead of time
-share accounts in two ways: centralized or decentralized (powered by Hats Protocol)
-integrations with paybot, bountybot and launchaster to quickly run through power-user workflows

Challenges we ran into

Going from a one-person local setup to having ten contributors was much harder than expected.
The initial developer experience and setup was very rough. We've improved it a lot by having a call or sitting with the first few people who wanted to contribute. We improved the process each time and are still not done.
