Disabled people have access to local service providers such as banks, malls, and restrooms. The HelpU website will be used to register service providers. The services will be listed in our HelpU app after the service provider has registered.
Added the ability to book public transportation. For example, if we choose Cab Booking, the user will enter their starting and ending locations and will be automatically redirected to the Ola/Uber app, where they will simply book the cab.
In our app, we've added a Help-Desk feature. For example, suppose Ram is crippled and need immediate assistance. In this scenario, he can submit a request for assistance through our help desk, and a message will be forwarded to all HelpU personally-verified Volunteers who can assist Ram.
If a disabled person is unable to express their views verbally, our TEXT-to-SPEECH tool will assist them in communicating without any barriers.
If a person requires services such as Wheelchair Rental, Helper Rental, or Crutch Rental, he or she can easily verify availability and reserve them in advance to avoid last-minute confusion.
This feature is similar to BookMyShow.com's Cinema Ticket Booking System.
If a disabled person requires financial support, they can submit a funding request through the HelpU app. If the request is genuine, we'll hold a series of CrowdFunding Rounds in which people from wealthy families can directly assist the person through our Razorpay Payment Gateway.
If a person is suffering from Fumbling or is mute person, for those people we have integrated some daily-life action/ expression cards which is really helpful for the people to communicate in public places confidently.
We understand the critical need to assist this segment of the population, and we are committed to fulfilling their expectations. This effort has the potential to be a huge step forward in assisting disabled individuals and boosting their confidence so that they can strive to improve their lives.
The time constraint was the most difficult obstacle for our team. We had a lot of ideas, and it was challenging to include them all into the project. Thanks to each other's help and coordination, we were able to pull this done just in time. Second, incorporating the search function into the website proved tough. It took a long time to populate the API with data. It was tough to combine the payment gateway and the user authentication system. The most challenging component was designing a simple but engaging user interface.
