The problem Heart rate monitor using IoT solves

Heart rate monitor : a personal Monitoring device which allow one to measure his or her heart rate in real time.
Ex: Smartwatches It measures heart-rate data while performing variour exercises.
Approach: To measure the heart rate out of which, the most accurate way is Electrocardiography. Electrocardiography- Records electrical signals of heart. An easier way to monitor heartrate is to make use of a heartbeat sensor. It is available in different shapes and sizes. For this project we need LCD display, 10k ohm potentiometer, breadboard, jumper wires, wi-fi module ESP8266. The principle of heartbeat monitoring sensor is photoplethysmography. According to this principle, the change in the volume of blood in an organ is measured by the change in the intensity of the light passing through the origin.
The pulse senor has three terminals - the first pin is signal terminal, the middle one is VCC and the last one is ground.
Abstract: Many of the heart patients have lost their life due to Expensive Health-care.With the advancements in the field of Medical Electronics and wireless communication, the charges for health care have reduced considerably.
IoT(Internet of Things) : Taking all the things in the world and connecting it with the internet. When things are connected to the Internet it can Send Information,Receive information or do both.
Components of IoT: Sensors, Connectivity, Data processing (conversion of raw data into machine readable form), User Interface (human-computer interaction in a device)
Demerits ofOther devices are not that accurate. They are costly and not user-friendly. In our project we have used Heartbeat Sensor, Arduino, Wi-Fi Module ESP8266 and Jumper Wires which are available at low cost. Merits of this device are Alert at abnormal heart rate and redure manpower.

Challenges we ran into

There are a number of challenges that arise when we are developing an IoT device, name as a heart rate monitoring device. Some potential challenges that we have encountered during our project include:

  1. Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the heart rate monitoring technology: It is important that the device is able to accurately and consistently measure an individual's heart rate.

  2. Designing a user-friendly interface: The device should be easy to use and understand, even for individuals who may not be technically savvy.

  3. Ensuring the device is portable and comfortable to wear: The device should be compact and lightweight, and it should be comfortable for the user to wear for extended periods of time.

  4. Ensuring the device is durable and able to withstand daily wear and tear: The device should be able to withstand regular use and exposure to various environments.

  5. Securing the device and protecting user data: It is important to ensure that the device is secure and that user data is protected from unauthorized access.

  6. Managing the costs of development and production: Developing and producing an IoT device can be expensive, so it is important to carefully manage costs to ensure the project is feasible.
