Description of your solution

Our project is a Smart DSP Hearing Aid built using Altair Embed and Altair Compose, designed to significantly improve speech clarity while reducing unwanted environmental noise. The system uses digital signal processing (DSP) techniques such as adaptive filtering, real-time noise suppression, and frequency shaping to enhance the audio experience for users with hearing impairments.

The solution allows customized sound profiles based on the user’s hearing range, ensuring comfortable and clear sound amplification. Through simulation in Altair Embed, we modeled the real-time audio processing pipeline, tested various filter designs, and optimized power consumption for wearable devices. The integration with Altair Compose allowed for rapid prototyping, algorithm validation, and visualization of signal performance metrics.

This approach enables affordable, energy-efficient, and easily customizable hearing aids, with potential extensions for newborn hearing recognition, Bluetooth-based remote control, and AI-powered adaptive sound adjustments.
