The problem Healithon solves
Healithon provides universally accessible, real-time healthcare support, allowing users to submit symptoms via text or image uploads for instant consultation and access to vetted home remedies. The platform ensures critical situations are managed without panic through integrated live ambulance support, while guaranteeing user data integrity via end-to-end encryption of all health records. Built for simplicity, Healithon is language- and user-friendly, achieving long-term sustainability and low user cost by monetizing through strategic partnerships with insurance providers, hospitals, diagnostic centers, and practicing doctors.
Challenges we ran into
The primary challenge during the hackathon was bridging the gap in backend development knowledge, as we are first-year students; while the frontend was stable, the backend required significant time and learning, prompting us to actively seek mentor guidance and rapidly acquire new skills to build out the core functionality. Under the pressure of judging, we successfully implemented on-the-fly location-based changes to demonstrate functionality, highlighting that our development process was inherently one of simultaneous learning and iterative building.
