The problem HealEdge solves

Existing healthcare systems often suffer from fragmented communication between doctors and patients. Our platform streamlines this communication, providing a unified and secure space for appointments,confidential messaging, and anonymous community support.
The benefits it provides are as follows:

• Many individuals, especially in underserved regions, face challenges accessing timely medical advice. The integration of Celo ensures mobile accessibility, allowing users to engage with healthcare services using just their smartphones, thus overcoming traditional infrastructure limitations.
• The Graph integration enhances transparency by optimizing on-chain data retrieval. Users can access real-time, accurate healthcare information, promoting trust and informed decision-making.
• The use of multiple technologies, including Celo, Scroll, and Base, ensures a robust and interoperable platform. Deploying on multiple chains enhances scalability and future-proofs the project by allowing it to adapt to evolving blockchain ecosystems.
• Waku provides a secure and private communication layer, crucial in healthcare interactions. Patient-doctor confidentiality is prioritized, ensuring a trustworthy environment for sharing sensitive health information. It also helps in implementing the anonymous group chat between users which improves the user experience.
• It is a project which aims at improving the user experience by allowing users to take benefit from multiple technologies. It helps the user to leverage what the various technologies have to offer. This project is a step towards products which are easy to use and offer social good.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges that we came across are:

• Figuring out documentation of PUSH Protocol video call feature.
• The dependency issues with The Graph and its support for Scroll.
• The Waku light push sometimes leads to message drops even if the users are connected to each other. The latency is also quite high which affects the experience.
• The encryption of the messages on waku takes time again reducing overall experience. It was a challenge to resolve it.
