The problem Handwritten Hindi Character Recognition solves

Analysis of the scanned image and then translation of the character image into character codes, such as ASCII, commonly used in data processing.
People who don't know hindi can just take a snap of any Hindi text they see and can use the app to know its meanings in English.
Children can use it for learning how to write Hindi in a better way.

Challenges we ran into

Sufficient data is not available to train.
Pre-processing the data.
We had to implement it in server inorder reduce the computations on user side.
