SDG4: Inequality in educational opportunity & Underfunding of Education
Description
This project is a website and blockchain-based platform that supports SDG4: Quality Education by letting users create scholarship programs with a target funding amount and upload evidence (like documents or videos) to prove their need. Contributors can review the evidence and decide whether to donate ETH to the scholarship’s prize pool. If the funding goal is reached, the scholarship owner can request withdrawals, but each request is limited to 30% of the current pool. Every withdrawal request triggers a voting period where only contributors to that scholarship can vote to approve or reject the request, with votes weighted by each contributor’s donation amount. If the vote passes, the requested funds are released; otherwise, they remain in the pool. This system ensures transparency, community oversight, and fair distribution of funds while giving donors control over continued support.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge we met is when working with the graph, we have no idea how to deal with the dynamic generated contract. That waste us a lot of time.
