The problem HACKTRON solves
The chatbot HackTron informs students about forthcoming hackathons, including the rules, schedule, regulations, and awards, as well as the registration procedure, deadline, and eligibility criteria. The bot also responds to a variety of inquiries concerning hackathons. Students can access the bot using Telegram. The bot offers a fantastic user experience and is simple to use and navigate.we are submitting our project in the design track since it is just a basic prototype that we have designed using python telegram NLP.
Challenges we ran into
It was our first hackathon, so it was quite challenging and interesting. Filtering out databases was our main challenge as data was scattered. We wanted to use a function to update the message of the user, this function was not present in python- telegram-bot version 20.0 and we were unable to find any alternative function to this. So we had to install previous versions of python and check if the update function worked/ not. Finally, after much effort, we found out that this function worked on python- telegram-bot version 13.0. Thus, we worked on python- telegram-bot version 13.0 for our project.
