The problem HackHive solves

HackHive is dedicated to building a community of developers who are always ready to help each other out, and further our collective interest in the field. It provides a platform for developers to come together and collaborate with each other as it is a complete package for hackers. Where they can brainstorm their ideas in the chat rooms and find teammates to tag along for hackathons.

Challenges we ran into

Integration of the backend with both the android application and the website.
Implementing a real-time chat system for the community.

How we Solved:

We solved the integration of the backend by using firebase as it provides a very smooth integration across the platform, i.e, between the WebApp and the Android App.

For the real-time chat system, we used Socket.io as it is easier to implement with minimal addition of code which decreases the code redundancy and provides a real-time smooth chat interface.
