The problem Habito solves
Habito, a habit-building app, promotes and facilitates habit building with consistency and accountability. The app has a habit streak feature which encourages and motivates the user. The app also uses prompts user to click verification picture to update the habit streak and uses Machine Learning to actually verify if that image does portray the habit being followed.
Challenges we ran into
The primary challenge that we faced during this project's development was to find a method to verify habit streaks. We decided to follow a picture based verification approach and researched a lot about image based machine learning models and classification and finally came up with a decent approach which uses BLIP model and Spacy to verify daily habit streaks of the user. Building the backend and android application for this app was also a hurdle but we finally brainstormed some ideas and hacked this app to reality
