The problem Guiding Mentors solves

Guiding Mentors guides students and schools through the entire process of their careers till they are happy with what they are doing. This application is mainly for students who are confused about what subjects/career paths they want to choose after their 10th or 12th. Schools can also take help for their students with this application. For students from the registered school, they can analyze their marks subject-wise, add their preferred fields and work on them using the suggested skills provided by the app. Students will be recommended career fields according to the tests taken by the application. Along with the specialized tests and analysis, Guiding Mentors also provides for a forum for the students and schools to interact with the professionals who are working in the industries as well as the students who are in the under graduate, graduate or doctorate courses.

Challenges we ran into

As the project requires data which is not publically available, we had to gather data by asking our friends to fill out a survey in order to get the desired results. Along with the data, during the coding process, there was an issue when the vanilla js form was supposed to send data on a django view. After browsing through numerous sites and blogs and also after taking help from our friends we were able to figure out the fault and correct it.
