GreenCyclePlus
GreenCycle Plus connects individuals and businesses with recyclers through a platform that rewards users for recycling waste, ensures transparency using blockchain and promotes sustainable consumption
The problem GreenCyclePlus solves
Unmanageable Waste and Environmental Degradation
Africa produces 125 million tons of waste annually, yet only 4% is recycled. Open dumping contaminates soil, air, and water, harming ecosystems and urban areas.
Economic and Health Risks
An $8 billion potential is lost yearly due to poor recycling practices. Meanwhile, unmanaged dumps expose communities to a 50% increase in pollution-related diseases, endangering lives and livelihoods.
Rising Demand Amid Growing Urbanization
With Africa's urban population set to double by 2050, waste generation will skyrocket. Public demand for better solutions is high, but limited resources leave governments struggling to address the challenge effectively.
User Interaction and Data Flow
Find recycling companies around you, view company offers on the dashboard, make a pickup request
Product Integrations
We used google maps API to track location for pickup requests
Key differentiators and uniqueness of the project
We have a model where users are paid directly for the amount of waste brought to the platform, we also give users immediate rewards in cryptocurrency based on the amount of waste they bring in
