The problem Greenarray solves

GreenArray is a website that helps citizens grow plants that are most suitable to their conditions and on their own rooftop, thus increasing urban green spaces. This website suggests the most suitable plant for a particular individual based on the input criteria and also helps the user keep track of the growth of the plant and prompts to protect the plant from sudden changes in weather.

Challenges we ran into

We couldn't get accurate historical weather info for a user's location to suggest plants suitable to their climatic conditions. We had also initially planned to make this a community platform where people could add information about new plants and instructions to maintain them and also volunteer to work in public green spaces. But that idea was dropped due to time constraints.
