What challenges are you focusing on?

Traditional games often rely on centralized systems, limiting trust and transparency. Players have no way to verify whether outcomes are fair or if rewards are distributed accurately. Greedypig addresses this by leveraging blockchain technology to offer a fully decentralized game experience.

Greedypig introduces provably fair randomness, ensuring that game outcomes are tamper-proof and transparent. Additionally, the game rewards players based on strategic decisions, encouraging risk management while preventing centralized entities from controlling payouts. This approach solves the problem of trust in gaming while offering an engaging and fair reward mechanism.

With a secure, transparent, and verifiable reward system, Greedypig creates a new standard for online games, giving players the confidence that the results are honest and truly random.

Challenges I ran into

One of the toughest challenges was integrating randomness into the game in a way that aligns with blockchain principles. Traditional random number generators aren't suitable for decentralized systems because they can be manipulated or predicted.

To solve this, we incorporated Supra Randomness, which offers decentralized and tamper-proof randomness with support for the Base Network. Implementing this required extra effort to ensure seamless interaction between smart contracts and the randomness provider, but after several iterations and debugging sessions, we successfully integrated it. This ensured that our game's outcomes are fair and transparent to all players.
