The problem Gratie solves
- Maintaining a healthy ecosystem between service providers and business, Example : Let us assume Uber for this example , if a driver (service provider) earns $100 from a single ride , 80% of the earning goes to the driver and 20% goes to the platform. Majority of the people are not happy to pay the platform fee. In action to this they try to bypass the system and companies face difficulty in maintaining a healthy ecosystem.
- Payment via Uber/Airbnb platform takes 2-3 days to repay to service providers (drivers and hosts) so service providers ask customers to make fiat payments via phonepe/google pay.
- Not every service provider are financially educated enough to invest in their company in which they provide service, some companies will not have shared / ESOPS for the service providers
- Getting more honest customer reviews and testimonials to understand the customer behavior. Even reviews or testimonials can be interpolated by a centralized system.
- Gaining Service provider loyalty
Challenges I ran into
Hacking and doing minute changes were really difficult and we thought to build a full fledged sophisticated system but due to time crunch we had to pivot a little bit and we have successfully pulled it off.
