The problem GoLocal.Store solves

If we are to look for products we need to visit multiple shops, navigate thorugh traffic reach a store and only to not find what we need. Shopping takes lot of time. Online ecommerce portals do serve the purpose but than we need to wait for days and mostly pay a higher price than what it might cost in a local shop.

My solution also serves as a reviver of local stores. Local businesses has suffered greatly because of big online shops. The solution would be a big boon for shopkeepers and consumers

Challenges I ran into

There were many challenges.

React

• Deeper learning to work with react Hooks, Contexts, States

Drizzle

• Connecting Truffle Drizzle to React with hooks and Gatsby
• Initialize Torus before Drizzle and than pass torus as provider to Drizzle and all that to be done in Gatsby
• Solving it: I reached oout various forums but no luck ; but with few similar code ideas it could put some thing in place to get it to work

Openzeppelin

• openzeppelin not working in latested node version
• solved by discussing the issue in the forum and they later released a version for node 13; gave them feedback on how things could be improved.

Gatsby

• It seemed like a great thing but turned put to be a slow developing process we the project grew
• Just to see the effect even the smallest thing take few minutes
• Solution: create multple smaller setup; test things and combine in to the actual project
