Challenges we ran into

Building Godbase presented several significant technical challenges that we successfully overcame:

1. Onchain Order Book Trading System:
   Creating an onchain order book trading system was technically challenging. Unlike traditional AMM models, an order book requires precise matching and efficient handling of buy/sell orders. Despite the complexity, we believe that an onchain order book system is essential for advancing Web3 trading. We addressed this by optimizing our smart contracts and leveraging advanced algorithms to ensure smooth and accurate order matching.

2. Smart Wallet Signing Mechanism:
   The signing mechanism for smart wallets differs significantly from EOA wallets, posing another hurdle. Integrating smart wallet functionality required extensive testing and adjustments to ensure compatibility and security. We overcame this by learning how Account Abstraction wallets sign through development documents.

3. Gas Payment System:
   We allow users to pay gas fees with ERC-20 tokens, while Godbase covers the gas costs in ETH. This system was particularly challenging due to fluctuating gas prices and token values. To make this sustainable, we developed a dynamic pricing model that adjusts in real-time, ensuring users always have an accurate and fair gas fee conversion. This involved creating a sophisticated backend system capable of monitoring and reacting to market changes instantaneously.
