Making high-yield savings easy and secure to democratize finance.
The problem Goal Mine solves
My friends and family ask me about short-term savings goals, which BTC/ETH are not appropriate for. But AAVE/Morpho provide great APY on UDSC, which is perfect! This app leverages CDP SDK to make the onboarding process familiar while abstracting away crypto-specific jargon.
User Interaction and Data Flow
CDP Smart Wallet, CDP Onramp to Base from debit card, CDP Earn (Morpho Vault). Then CDP Offramp once the savings goal is met!
The project architecture and development process
User self-custodies the smart wallet, USDC balance on Base, and Morpho vault position. There are no intermediate smart contracts that I created. Permissionless, as it should be!
Product Integrations
Mainly CDP - it's so good! I built on top of ScaffoldEth-2, which is similar to OnchainKit in the functionality it provides (useQuery wrappers, wagmi, etc).
Key differentiators and uniqueness of the project
While it still needs plenty of polish, I think the idea of framing the crypto onboarding process in familiar terms is a necessary part of reducing the cognitive load and intimidation of bringing funds onchain. For example, using the term "Checking Account" to refer to UDSC balance and the term "Savings Account" to refer to the amount stored in a lending protocol earning APY.
Trade-offs and shortcuts while building
OnchainKit offers lots of custom styling, which are an important part of integrating those features as much as possible into a friendly, guided onboarding user flow. e.g. embedded and restyled onramp, wallet, and earn components to keep the UX "within" the app as much as possible (again, to reduce the complexity of onboarding). I would like to add a lifecycle hook to automatically prompt the user to deposit their USDC during onramp immediately into Morpho, skipping the "holding" step.
