Goal Finance
The fun way to save smarter and together
The problem Goal Finance solves
Goal Finance is a decentralized social saving protocol that helps friends, families, and communities save together, without relying on trust, or one person playing the “banker”
Whether you’re saving for a trip, a surprise gift, or a shared cause, Goal Finance makes it easy to stay committed, earn yield while saving, and celebrate wins together.
The Problem
Saving with other people is messy.
You’ve got good intentions, group vacations, events, shared purchases — but someone always forgets, drops out, or ghosts the group chat.
One person ends up being the “treasurer,” chasing everyone for money, holding the funds, and praying no one flakes.
And if you're saving alone? It's easy to quit halfway when there’s no system or reason to keep going.
There’s no simple, fair, and trustless way to save together that actually fits how people coordinate in real life, especially with friends and family.
The Solution — Goal Finance
Goal Finance gives you a shared vault to save with others. You set the goal, deadline, and rules.
Everyone chips in. If you hit the target, the vault unlocks and contributors earn yield rewards. If not? Everyone gets refunded and minus a small penalty you set at the start.
It’s fair, transparent, and runs on autopilot. No middlemen. No awkward convos. No one holding the bag.
You can use it with your friends, family, community, or even solo, and soon, you’ll be able to set recurring deposits or round up spare change toward your goals too.
Why it matters?
People want to save.
They just need a better system, one that keeps them committed, lets them do it together, and rewards consistency.
Goal Finance makes saving feel like progress, not punishment.
It adds just the right mix of social pressure, positive rewards, and onchain trustlessness, so you don’t fall off halfway.
Why it’s great for the Lisk ecosystem
Lisk is on a mission to bring Web3 to the real world with simple, accessible tools that anyone can use.
Goal Finance fits perfectly into that vision.
We’re not building for DeFi degens. We’re building for:
👨👩👧👦 Friends saving for a concert or vacation
👭 Families setting aside money for Eid or Christmas
🧑💻 Communities fundraising transparently
🏛️ DAOs allocating shared budgets with accountability
By building on Lisk’s modular, EVM-compatible infrastructure, we unlock:
⚡️ Fast, cheap, friendly UX — perfect for micro-savings and recurring deposits
🔄 Cross-chain vaults & yield strategies
💵 A real-world use case for stablecoins and onchain DeFi
🧱 Easy onboarding for non-crypto users
The impact?
It helps Lisk evolve beyond just infra into a place where people actually do things together onchain, creating social value, network usage, and sticky daily interactions.
Challenges I ran into
Building this as a solo founder was definitely a grind. Juggling design, smart contracts, frontend, and storytelling all at once took serious time and energy.
One of the biggest technical hurdles was integrating cross-chain logic smoothly, especially making sure the yield mechanism (via Morpho) worked well without breaking the user flow.
Balancing UX and smart contract safety across chains isn’t easy, but I took it step by step. Prioritized the user experience first, then refactored things to handle edge cases and gas optimizations.
Still a work-in-progress, but ship now, perfect later.
