Our solution is a platform that integrates GitHub’s open-source  collaboration model with decentralized ﬁnance (DeFi)  mechanisms, speciﬁcally a token-based staking system using  ERC20 tokens.

In our project, we utilize Polygon Amoy, an EVM-compatible chain, to enhance scalability, reduce transaction costs, and maintain compatibility with Ethereum-based smart contracts. By leveraging Polygon Amoy's Layer 2 capabilities, we achieve faster transaction processing and lower gas fees, making user interactions, such as staking and contributing, more cost-effective and seamless. Compared to Sepolia, Polygon Amoy offers significantly lower gas fees, making transactions more affordable for users. It also processes transactions faster, enhancing efficiency, scalability and user experience. Its EVM compatibility allows easy integration with existing Ethereum tools and ecosystems. Additionally, Polygon Amoy provides a balance between decentralization and security through its network of validators and periodic checkpoints to Ethereum. This choice ensures a smooth, efficient, and user-friendly experience for our decentralized platform.
