Empowering Remote Teams with AI; Bridging the gap in productivity, connection and wellbeing
What’s your problem statement?
Work from home culture is here to stay. How can we use AI to make the new normal easier for managers and employees alike?
The problem GharSe solves
Communication and Collaboration Barriers: In a remote setting, it’s easy for communication to break down. Employees may feel isolated or disconnected from their teams, leading to misunderstandings, delays, and reduced morale. Traditional tools often struggle to fully replicate in-person interactions, making it harder to stay aligned on projects and tasks.
Productivity Tracking and Performance Management Challenges: Managers have difficulty assessing productivity without being in the same space as their teams. Many resort to micromanagement to compensate, which can lead to frustration for employees and loss of trust. On the other hand, employees can feel over-monitored, pressured, or unsure of how to demonstrate their achievements remotely.
Challenges we ran into
This was our first-ever hackathon as a team, and the challenges we encountered were overwhelming. Our designer quickly discovered—midway through the project—that Figma doesn't magically generate code, forcing us to scramble for alternatives. To make matters worse, one of my teammates was severely sleep-deprived, having barely finished an exam right before the event, which took a toll on her focus and energy. On top of that, I was thrown into the deep end, trying to grasp and implement backend development on the fly, with no prior experience. It felt like everything that could go wrong, did.
