GETFIT

GETFIT

Onchain accountability for your weight loss journey.

The problem GETFIT solves

Losing weight is challenging. Both Leal and I successfully lost over 20kg each since early 2024 through self-accountability, but we didn't utilize Web3 technologies. This experience inspired us to put on our builder hats and harness the power of Web3 to enhance accountability. The oracles.fit app serves multiple purposes:

  • Extreme Accountability: users can track their weight loss journey transparently and immutably by recording their progress onchain.
  • Weight Oracle: we used a Withings scale integration to fetch real weight data.
  • Community Rewards: through token distribution rounds (using rounds.wtf), we're fostering a community of like-minded individuals committed to their health goals. We used $BUILD tokens for this initial experiment.
  • Incentivizing Progress: we're introducing $GETFIT tokens to reward users who consistently keep themselves accountable, adding a motivational financial incentive. Token to be launched.

Challenges we ran into

We over-complicated the user journey at the start. As we progressed forward we started to cut down clutter and make things simpler. To go deeper into our experience we decided to document our approach publicly.
