The Google Developer Students Club of Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College of Engineering. This is a newly found GDSC club and the project is to build the club's community website from scratch
The problem GDSC LBCE Main Website solves
As per my understanding the current requirements of the organisation GDSC LBCE is to develop
a website for their Google Developers Student’s Club and for that they require the front-end
and the back-end for their website. Added a detailed documentation for beginners to contribute to open
source as well as I am planning to create different pages such as contact us page, events page,
organisers page and different pages for the website. Contributing to this project will help GDSC LBCE develop a great website for the users visiting their website as well as it will create awareness to the students regarding the further events
which will be organised by the Club, also people would get help connecting to the team of
GDSC LBCE for conducting the future events, collaboration, etc.
Challenges I ran into
Significant Difficulties faced during the contribution period were to grasp react.js and work with
the errors coming up while coding. Since react.js was a whole new tech stack to work on, I found
it difficult to set up react in the local system and install the dependencies for working on a
particular feature. Other than that, whenever I pulled upstream from the main branch to get the
changes done by the other teammates and tried running the website on localhost, I always faced
errors since there were some of the dependencies which were to be installed that I didn't know.
But with the help of my mentor and by googling my Issues, I was able to solve all the difficulties I
faced while contributing.
