The problem Gate Entry Management System solves

It eradicates the need to put manual entries into the hostel register whenever we step out of the hostel and curatils the efforts of the security guards. Moreover, it notifies the hostel management team about the absence of students from the hostel by a notification and announces the names of students who are absent on the hostel mic. This simplifies the system as in while stepping out of the hostel we had to put entries in the gate register. This was a cumbersome task for us as well as the security guards who had to sign each entry. More over, students used to do fake entries (signing someone else's entries) or totally skip it. So, a face detection system like this will eradicate such problems and also completely wipe out the attendance system (where we had to show our faces to our attendant after 10:00 PM).

Challenges we ran into

The GPU is not properly working and hindering the working of other libraries. We have trained a small model on CPU to get over this issue for the time being.
