The problem GamifiED solves

institutions to transform there textbooks/content into an engaging, interactive games
for there students
For the prototype, we have used the original sections of the Constitution. However,
when offering our platform as a service to institutions or government boards, we plan to
use their textbooks as the primary source. This approach also demonstrates the
technical dynamism of our platform.
Traditionally, students learn through reading, but it’s time to shift towards
learning through gaming. Our platform has the potential to effectively transform
this conventional approach to education.

Challenges we ran into

1️⃣ Real-Time Updates & Performance
Issue: High database load caused lag in leaderboards and game updates.
Solution: Integrated Redis caching to handle real-time interactions efficiently, reducing latency.

2️⃣ AI-Driven Question Selection
Issue: AI sometimes over-prioritized weak topics, making the game feel too difficult.
Solution: Introduced a balanced difficulty algorithm to adjust challenges dynamically.

3️⃣ Fair AI-Based Card Trading
Issue: Unfair trades led to card hoarding and imbalance.
Solution: AI now assigns trade values and suggests fairer deals, ensuring balanced exchanges.

4️⃣ Optimizing PDF Uploads for Institutions
Issue: Converting textbooks into gamified questions was slow and inaccurate.
Solution: Used NLP and PyMuPDF for efficient text extraction and AI-generated quiz questions, with manual review options.

Lessons Learned
✅ Scalability matters – Redis improved performance.
✅ AI needs balance – Adaptive difficulty must feel fair.
✅ User control is key – Institutions need AI assistance with manual tweaks.

These improvements made GamifiEd more engaging, efficient, and scalable! 🚀
