Problem Statement
Choosing the right career path is a major challenge for students and job seekers due to a lack of real-world exposure and practical insights. Traditional career guidance methods, such as aptitude tests and counseling, often provide theoretical advice but fail to offer an immersive experience of different professions. This results in career dissatisfaction, skill mismatches, and inefficient workforce entry.
How Our Project Solves This Problem
Our Career Simulator bridges this gap by providing an interactive, real-world simulation of various careers, enabling users to:

Challenges we ran into
During the development of Futurescape, we encountered several challenges, including:
Designing Realistic Career Scenarios – Ensuring that the simulated job roles accurately reflect real-world tasks, challenges, and skill requirements required extensive research and validation.
Balancing Complexity and Engagement – Creating a simulation that is both informative and interactive without overwhelming users was a key challenge. We had to refine our approach to keep the experience engaging yet educational.
Ensuring a Seamless User Experience – Designing an intuitive interface that allows users to navigate different career paths smoothly was a challenge. We had to carefully structure the workflow, simplify interactions, and optimize performance to enhance usability.
Data and Industry Insights – Gathering reliable data on different professions and integrating it into the simulator required consulting various sources and ensuring up-to-date industry trends.
Time and Resource Constraints – With a limited timeline and team resources, prioritizing features and optimizing workflows was crucial to ensuring a functional prototype within the submission deadline.
Despite these challenges, we overcame them through teamwork, iterative improvements, and continuous learning, resulting in a well-rounded Futurescape that provides valuable insights into different career paths.
