First, It stops the hoarding of goods which itself solves many problems.
Second, By using this people who lost their jobs can get some money by delivering those goods to the customers.
As it's our first hackathon, first 2-3 days gone like selecting a topic.
The next 2-3 days was about developing the project and selecting the technologies.
We planned to use Blockchain to stop goods hoarding but no one knew that technology. We then hardcoded the details of all vendors in Bhubaneswar, Odisha directly into the project which was again a very tough job as creating a database of all the wholesellers and vendors and linking their sales quantity and updating them along side each transaction was made. The project remained incomplete as it was not as expected. The second we thought of creating an API by using Elastic but was unsuccessful as we ran into problem of indexing errors while importing json file.
Although this failures, we're happy because this is our first hackathon and got too many things to learn through the webinars and the mentor's support.
